Inspired by the Grammy Award-winning

Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra and various arts administration mentors and opportunities I have had in New York, the mission of the APJO is to be a world-class jazz orchestra that:

​​

inspires and validates the career aspirations of up-and-coming Asian and Pacific Islander musicians

 

⁃ provides a platform for composers of all backgrounds to explore Asian and Pacific Island music and culture

 

leading to the ultimate goal of:

 

⁃ promoting traditional Asian and Pacific Island music and culture around the world through jazz

Our debut concert took place on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at the 

Louis Armstrong House Museum, Corona, Queens.
